SAN FRANCISCO, May 20, 2013/ — This is not a store window or display. It is a museum display, the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. You have probably heard of them because they were featured in several movies, one of the more notorious being Lara Croft: Tomb Raider starring Angelina Jolie.
What is important here and very hard to see (I did actually forgot to take a close up) are the structures supporting these terra cotta warriors. These warriors are on loan from China and part of the big cache that was discovered. They are priceless! If one breaks, it cannot be replaced. So, it is very important that a support doohickey be created. And the museum curators did! These support items are so unobtrusive that you will not notice them at all.
This will be a good inspiration for visual merchandisers, making it the reason why I put it here.
