LACOSTE unveiled their second new concept store in Canada this Saturday, March 30th. After a much-anticipated renovation, along with moving store locations within Ottawa’s Rideau Centre, Lacoste is excited to have the boutique reopened.
The new concept store is the second of its kind in Canada and is a tribute to Lacoste’s French heritage and elegance. Its innovative design fosters an exceptional customer-centric and digital experience. Similar to the Yorkdale location, the look and feel is both sophisticated and chic.
As one of Canada’s largest malls, the Rideau Centre has shown great growth potential. The Ottawa location is expected to preform comparably to Yorkdale. The Lacoste boutique in Yorkdale has shown 25% growth since the launch of the new store and based on internal data, Ottawa is set to exceed this.
New to Lacoste boutiques, Ottawa will soon provide customers with a digital customization experience. It will allow the customer to purchase and customize select pieces in their preferred crocs color.
“The new in-store digital customization capability provides our customers with a personal, unique and intimate experience with the brand”, says Lacoste Canada’s Vice President Grégoire Brasset. The brand is set to launch digital customization across all 11 boutiques throughout Canada by the end of 2019.
Now that the new Ottawa boutique has reopened, Canadians can expect to see a Vancouver location open in June 2019. Additional locations are set to open across Canada within the next few years.
Aside from solely concentrating on the rebranding of their own retail stores, Lacoste is also focusing on their retail partners, such as the Hudson’s Bay Company and Browns to name a few.
“We continue to see success by driving growth through our boutiques, however, we also see a large potential to reach new consumers by continuing to expand our partnerships with other retailers”, says Brasset.
The brand is broadening their scope of consumers by partnering with new retailers such as Footlocker. Additionally, Lacoste is tapping into online digital retailers starting with their exciting new partnership with SSENSE, which is slated to launch later this year.
“The Canadian market shows they want to see more Lacoste,” says Brasset “it’s exciting to be broadening our reach with such successful retailers”.
