DALLAS, Jan 10, 2014/ — Wow! This is a true Flashback Friday (#FF) with the Lord & Taylor store window! Believe it or not, Lord & Taylor once graced Northpark Center. The retailer left in the early 2000s.
So, seeing this menswear store window is a blast from the past. A color-blocked screen pulled together all the elements of this display that consisted primarily of a headless articulated form and a low pedestal displaying men’s sweaters. It’s attractive in its simplicity.
The Salvatore Ferragamo and Ermenegildo Zegna store windows at Neiman Marcus have a collage of relevant campaigns as the background. Talbots was an exercise in restraint with two wooden forms and a miniature bicycle.
And as always, Tiffany & Co. stood out its not-so subtle reference to the year 2000. It’s all about time with the hourglass and the pendulum. And yes, time is running out for 1999, the 20th century and the second millennium when these windows graced Northpark Center.
